PART VI – SUPPORT COMMITTEE
Hello to everyone.
March has come and along with that we have a few things coming up.
Meat fundraiser is starting March 5 and will run two weeks with the orders due at the beginning of the meeting March 19. The meat will arrive and be ready for pick up on April 2 starting at 5:45 pm. The families have two options for collecting money:
1) They can collect all the cash and e-transfer the money to Joell Bacon in one lump sum. The cadets name would need to get texted to Joell at 403-581-1529 so she can match the form to the deposit. She has asked that only the parent of the cadet do the etransfer in one total and not to have each purchaser etransfer payments. It would get too confusing to match up. The order form would need to be dropped off at the beginning of the evening March 19 by the cadet.
2) The other option is to collect cash and cheques but the PARENT/GUARDIAN will need to come into the cadet hall on March 19 to hand over the money to Joell at the beginning of the evening and would be required to sign off on the amount given.
3) If your family didn’t sell any product at all the cadet is to visit the table and drop off the form to sign off that no money or orders were sold. This way we can track that nothing has gotten mis-placed as we have had problems with this in the past.
We will be giving away gift certificate to the cadet who is the top seller. Any cadet that sells even one item will get their name entered into a draw for a second gift certificate.
This is one of our bigger fundraisers for the year with the money helping to fund the ACR Banquet in June. Please do your best to sell this product. The forms will be handed out on Thursday March 3 but I have attached one to this email if you would like to start early.
The Redi Bottle truck will be parked out front the night of the meat pick up so please bring a least a couple of garbage bags to contribute so we can fill that truck to buy door prizes for the ACR Banquet in June.
April 2 is also the Easter Celebration night with the cadets having a mega NERF war in the armoury. If you have a NERF weapon that you can bring all darts will be provided so please ask your cadet to confirm that their weapon will fit the bullets as one size does not fit all. This is the event of the year that the cadets have been waiting for. The support committee will have treats for Easter and refreshments that evening so no canteen will be available.
I want to mention that we will be asking for cadets/parents to start signing up for the Chuck Wagons in June right after the meat fundraiser is finished. We ask that one parent sign up per shift to help this go smoothly. The cadets do the majority of the work selling and the parents are asked to supervise and help to keep the cadets on track so you don’t have to worry about doing stairs too much. We leave that to the cadets! Senior cadets you are asked to sign up for shifts too!
If you have any questions regarding this email please feel free to get a hold of someone on the committee so we can clarify your questions.
Enjoy the rest of your day and have a great week!
